This 2-day Internal Auditing to ISO/IEC 17025 training course prepares lead and team auditors to clearly understand audit-related technical systems and issues. Successful participants learn to coordinate a quality management system audit to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, collect audit evidence and document observations, using proven techniques for effective questioning and listening.  The course also covers assessment techniques used to assess technical competence, understanding Accreditation Body requirements and improving the laboratory with the standard.

    • Understand the basics of a continual improvement process and internal audit cycle
    • Develop an understanding of the technical systems and issues of an accredited laboratory
    • Conduct an audit, including interviews, recording observations, documenting findings, preparing the audit report and conducting a closing meeting

    Detailed Course Description


    A traditional expert-led classroom experience, this course addresses accreditor findings of weak technical understanding among internal auditors of laboratories for ISO/IEC 17025.     All attendees MUST bring a copy of the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard to this training course. You can purchase a copy of this standard from ASQ (item #T804). Student manual and handouts will be provided.
